When we are relocating to a new place, it's important to carry some basic documents such as Government issued ID proofs, legal documents, financial documents etc.
Documents required for domestic relocation:
Government issued ID cards: During relocating to a new city or state we should take our driving license, birth certificate, marriage certificate, voter card, Aadhar card, PAN card etc.
Legal documents: On the moving date we should carry financial documents like property papers, wills, Power of Attorney, advanced directives etc.
Financial documents: Here we should carry last 6 months bank statements, credit cards, debit cards, tax records, investment or retirement related account statements.
Insurance related papers: When we are going to a new place, we should carry health insurance cards, medical emergency papers, life insurance papers etc.
Health records & medical papers: During the relocation to a new city we should carry our medical records, general medicine histories etc. If we relocate with pets we should keep their medicines, sufficient water also.
Educational certificates & records: Here we need to carry our educational certificates, employment histories, offer letters and CV, diplomas & transcripts, professional license or certificates etc in both soft and hard copy forms.
Home & utility related documents: During moving to a new destination, it is important to take home inventory list, house mortgage or lease related papers, rent agreement for the new place, utility account information etc.
Special documents for relocating to the international places: During moving the international places, we should carry special documents like Passport, VISA, social security cards etc.
