#1: Direction/placement of a kitchen:
South-east is the best direction to place the kitchen. If not possible, please accommodate the kitchen in the North-west direction of the home. But, don’t place the kitchen in the north, north-east or south-west. It may hamper internal relationships among family members.
When we prepare meals with east orientation we receive the optimum blessings and energy from the Sun, the God of Fire, energy. So, we should construct a kitchen as we face in the East direction while cooking. ‘
We should keep all the kitchen equipment, like Gas stove, cylinder, microwave, toaster and others in the south-east part of the kitchen. It helps to flow the energy in Kitchen in a balanced manner.
During construction of the house, be aware that the kitchen and bathroom are not placed one after another. It creates negativity & results in relationship deterioration among couples or family members.
#2: Gas stove & wash basin:
According to Kitchen vastu tips, gas stoves should be placed at the south-east direction of the kitchen.
Always keep the gas stoves, toasters or hobs at the opposite site of the wash basin, not in the same slab. Simultaneous position of gas stove and wash basin may create imbalance between fire & water, 2 basic natural elements. It may create an energy imbalance in the kitchen.

#3: Kitchen doors and windows with ventilation:
Kitchen door should be constructed in the east or north direction. East direction is directly linked with the Jupiter planet as well as the air element. So, with this direction we may receive wisdom, prosperity and abundance with good communication and intelligence.
Kitchen door should be opened in the clockwise direction otherwise there may be slow progress and delayed activities.
Kitchen windows should be placed at the east or southern side of the kitchen to achieve infinite prosperity. It’s important to have windows in the kitchen for aeration, illumination and ventilation.
#4: Kitchen water pipe placement:
To welcome abundance and prosperity in life, it’s important to follow these basic rules about kitchen water pipe or drainage systems.
Please manage wash basins and drainage systems in the north or North-east direction of the kitchen.
It’s important to put the water tanker at the north or north-east direction but not within the kitchen.
All these water elements should be placed at the north or northeast direction, opposite to the fire elements to balance two elements and maintain energy balance & receive endless prosperity, health and wealth.
#5: Refrigerator & pantry position:
Refrigerator is a very important kitchen appliance which we should place in the south-west direction. Here we can store different grains, foods etc which helps to maintain the flow of positive energy in the home & create a peaceful kitchen environment. Proper refrigerator positioning helps us to receive infinite good luck and prosperity.
#6: Color your kitchen properly:
We should put a bright & vibrant color to the kitchen. It may be orange, pink, red, yellow etc.
Don’t forget to maintain a balance of warm and cool colors in the kitchen, mainly in the south & south-east direction. With proper light & coloration, we get motivated to complete daily chores happily.
Don’t make black color in your kitchen. It may incur negative effects in the family. Dark or black color will make your kitchen gloomy. It may create health issues to the family members.
#7: Kitchen sinks:
We should place the kitchen sink in the North or North-east direction. We should keep the gas stove or fuel equipment opposite to the sink. To maintain a balance in the fire and water elements we should place a bone china vase between these 2 elements.
#8: Kitchen slabs:
To receive a handful of blessings from nature, kitchen slabs should be made of black stone or marble but not with granite.
Green or brown colored slab will be the best if your kitchen is east facing.
We may use a yellow slab if kitchen is facing towards North-east.
But, if you are following vastu properly, you should make a south or south-east facing kitchen with green, brown or maroon colored slabs.
These slab coloration will be helpful in maintaining the energy flow and protect kitchen from developing negative energy.
#9: Kitchen water management:
Water management in the kitchen is very impactful to maintain energy flow within the kitchen. This energy enters within us through food and we receive abundance, prosperity. For this aspect, drainage pipes and water tanks should be placed at the North or North-east corner.
We may place those at the east corner if North or North-east are not available to put water tanks etc.

To receive more positivity in the kitchen, we should place holy plants. Here basil or tulsi plants, aloe vera, coin plants etc can be placed in windows or other corners of the kitchen. These plants not only enhance the energy flow within the kitchen but also purifies the air & removes negativity from the kitchen.
